Using Associates in your school
Schools are required to take up their own references for any visiting individuals and organisations having contact with their pupils. All schools have their own child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures, which may vary from school to school, and across different academy trusts, but all schools must comply with national statutory guidance for schools and colleges on keeping children safe in education.
At the start of each academic year we remind schools of the quality assurance framework that surrounds our Associate scheme. We do this my emailing our schools’ contacts and posting on Wiltshire’s ‘Right Choice’

If you use providers who are not currently Associates but you want to be able to access our subsidies and instrument hire then the solution is to ask or require them to become an Associate – we welcome new applicants.
