Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) requires schools to adhere to Digital & Technology standards designed to protect children from harmful content and potentially harmful activity.
KCSiE clearly understands the positive potential of Technology to education and learning, this is about considering the risks.
This has a potential implication for Associates (tutors / music leaders / providers) who may wish to utilise their own devices / resources as part of their delivery / teaching / assessment. Our online safeguarding training offer now includes a module about this.
We advise Associates planning to use devices, sites or apps etc. to make schools aware of this in advance and check their procedures.
