Together with Tabla

Together with Tabla is a performance showcase event with tabla students from Swindon & Gloucestershire and their teacher, percussionist Jon Sterckx.
Tabla is the main percussion instrument played in North Indian classical music & the most popular percussion instrument of the Indian Subcontinent. Tabla is also growing in popularity globally. The amazing range of tones, complex rhythmic patterns and exciting rhythmic compositions of the tabla repertoire make for an enjoyable and exciting performance event.
This year will be the fifth year that the Together with Tabla event has been running. (2020 & 2021 were online due to the pandemic. 2022 & 2023 were held in person at The Platform). Thanks to support from Swindon Music Service for the venue.
