About this cluster
Within the Amesbury Music Cluster there are 17 schools (local authority maintained and academies) – 2 secondaries and 16 primaries – in the 2021-22 academic year. The cluster’s schools are situated in the town of Amesbury (4 primaries and The Stonehenge School) with all others in surrounding rural villages. 5 of the cluster’s primaries are currently ‘small schools’ (fewer than 120 children on roll – May 2021 school census data).
Indices of Multiple Deprivation 2019 data indicates low levels of overall deprivation in the area. One Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) in the Amesbury area ranks within the highest 30% for overall deprivation, with the majority of LSOAs ranked in the least 50%.
No schools in the cluster have percentages of pupils eligible for Free School Meals which were significantly higher than the national average.
