Vanessa Hammond
About
I studied oboe at the Royal Academy of Music, London, achieving GRSM (hons) LRAM (teaching) and Certificate of Postgraduate Studies.
Since 1990 I have been teaching individual oboe lessons from beginners to advanced level in schools in Bath and Berkshire.I currently teach at schools in Bath and privately at Pupils’ homes.
I play the oboe professionally, mainly in enembles specialising in authentic historical performance.
What I / we help young people achieve
Over the years my pupils have progressed on their instrument, enabling them to pass exams, play in ensembles, youth orchestras and school groups and to perform in concerts and workshops. This also gives them confidence and the ability to work with other people and to make new friends.
