IF YOU ARE AGED 18 OR UNDER, PLEASE ASK A PARENT OR CARER TO CONTACT PROVIDERS ON YOUR BEHALF

The providers listed in our Directory have all confirmed to us that they have the following in place.

• DBS checks
• Public Liability Insurance
• Child Protection awareness training and to be able to refer to guidance on how this relates to their work

We check these when an Associate is interviewed. Associates are then required to confirm that these have been refreshed or renewed at appropriate points. We do not however, request to see the refreshed or renewed documentation.

We also require Associates to provide at least two referees to whom they can direct their clients if required. We do not automatically take up references and therefore do not hold stock references for our Associates.

If you decide to contact or hire them, you should always ask to see evidence of their DBS check and Insurance yourself, take up their references and ask questions about both the safety and quality aspects of their music related practice.

If you find content which you consider to be inappropriate, inaccurate, misleading or owned by others, please contact the individual or organisation in question email and copy us in to your correspondence at info@wiltshiremusicconnect.org.uk

About

I work with children (and adults) of all ages, from primary schools, to secondary and sixth form schools.

I teach ABRSM grades, ABRSM Jazz grades, Trinity Grades and Rock School grades as well as encouraging students to choose their own pieces of music in any format, i.e. sheet music or recorded audio.

Students can learn to play by ear as well as by sight, and/or learn how to easily create your own musical work

I have a Btec National diploma in performing arts, and  licentiate of Trinity College London as well as two decades of teaching experience.

What I / we help young people achieve

The quality of my work speaks for itself, I have never had a student fail an exam. I have an excellent retention of student numbers.
I want students to acheive goals which they set, in performances, recordings exams or in what ever application they wish to use their music.

Opportunities for children & young people

  • To learn to play an instrument and / or develop skills on an instrument
  • To create / write music and / or lyrics
  • To develop recording /production skills
  • To play, perform music with others
  • To learn things about oneself , other subjects or life-skills through musical activity
  • To work with and support other young musicians
