Sarah Hooper
About
I am a piano and woodwind teacher with more than 25 years experience working with children and adults.
I teach piano and flute to grade 8 level, clarinet to grade 4.
I am an experienced examination accompanist.
My qualifications include an honours degree in music from Bristol University, CTABRSM in piano teaching, and LRSM.
I have an established private piano teaching practice, and have worked for Wiltshire Music Service teaching woodwind in schools for the past 14 years.
What I / we help young people achieve
My goal is happy pupils who love to play.
I am committed to using creative and appropriate teaching strategies to engage and motivate each pupil to reach his or her musical potential.
I have a very high success rate for those pupils who wish to take graded examinations.
I am equally proud of those whose goal is to perform to family and friends, or just to 'have fun'.
I aim to provide my pupils with the tools to explore and experience music for themselves, and inspire them to pursue their musical interests.
