About

Based in Whiteparish and available to teach in the Salisbury area, I teach the flute to grade 8 standard and the clarinet to grade 3.

I teach individually or in small groups and can also run flute groups to encourage children to play in ensembles and work towards Associated Board music medals if they wish.

The majority of my students enjoy the challenge of working towards exams but exams aren’t for everyone so my lessons are tailored to each child’s preference. My aim is for lessons to be fun and for children to love playing music.

What I / we help young people achieve

Excellent exam results and a very low drop out rate.

Confidence building - seeing the look of achievement on a child's face when they have found the courage to play in front of their class or school is one of the most rewarding things about teaching for me.
