What I / we help young people achieve
Laura ensures her pupils develop into complete musicians who have a good understanding of music theory through creative performing and compositional/improvisation activities. She encourages and supports students on their musical journey, personalising the learning experience to help them reach their full potential and best access musical opportunities that become available to them now and in the future.
She recognises the importance of working towards goals in lessons to maintain momentum and give pupils the incentive to practise. She regularly enters students for Music exams (Associated Board for the Royal School of Music (ABRSM), Trinity and Rockschool). Laura also organises an annual concert for all of her pupils each year to give them the opportunity to showcase their progress and help raise self-esteem.
Laura regularly supports school concerts. She directs the School Orchestra at Great Bedwyn School, allowing pupils who represent a wide range of abilities to make music together.
