Michele Lomas BA Hons, LTCL, FISM
About
I have been a passionate brass player for over 40 years since I took up the trombone at school. I teach all brass instruments including trumpet, cornet, trombone, Eb tenor horn, French horn, baritone, euphonium and tuba.
I have taught brass instruments since I was at school when I lead the junior band at the local brass band.
I have a music degree and an LTCL teaching diploma.
I have been teaching brass as my main job for the last 18 years and I teach individuals, small groups and whole classes. I teach all ages and levels from age 6 to adults and from beginners to grade 8 level. I also perform regularly in symphony orchestras and other ensembles.
I am a passionate ambassador for music education and was interviewed for an article in The Guardian in July 2015 and appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme on 17th November 2016, interviewed by Nick Robinson. Following this, I had a longer interview on Radio Wiltshire on 20th November.
