About

I am a fully qualified teacher with ten years of experience working with children and young people across Wiltshire and beyond.

I can provide individual lessons in Orchestral Percussion and in Drum Kit as well as tutoring in Music Theory.

My work in primary schools has given me extensive experience as a percussion workshop facilitator and can work with large groups of children on Djembes, Samba Instruments or even just classroom percussion.

I am the Musical Director of Wiltshire Young Musicians and through them I direct the Steel Pan Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and the West Wiltshire Youth Orchestra.

I have a huge amount of performing experience and regularly play within a number of ensembles across wide variety of genres. I play percussion for a number of Operas throughout the year and play bass guitar with two function bands playing everything from soul classics to modern hits.

What I / we help young people achieve

The reason I became a music teacher was to be able to share my passion and expertise in music with young people. I always try to make sure that my pupils enjoy making music and encourage them to communicate the direction they want their learning to go in. I have a 100% pass rate in both drum kit and percussion exams and will always encourage my pupils to join ensembles and make music with other people.
