About

I am a music teacher specialising in Teaching piano.  I currently have 15 pupils, aged between 5 – 16 plus 2 adults.  I have also been teaching at a local primary school on a one to one basis.

I obtained a Certificate in Teaching qualification through the Associated Board of the Royals Schools of Music in April 2008.  I have been teaching privately since then.

My teaching includes preparation for graded exams, opportunities for live performance by way of termly concerts.  The change from face to face to Virtual lessons during the Covid 19 pandemic has proved to be a very successful journey.  The feedback from all my pupils has been very positive and the outcome has been very successful.

What I / we help young people achieve

Since I qualified as a piano teacher in 2008 I have entered 50 pupils for piano exams, and all have successfully passed. Pupils have had the the opportunity to become more confident players by performing at local concerts organised by myself on a termly basis, enabling them to invite family and friends to listen to their music.

I have adapted my teaching recently by continuing to teach through COVID 19 via Zoom or Facetime and held a virtual concert. Some of my upils hav so enjoyed their music they are now taking GCSE music exams.

The pupils have grown in confidence. I have helped and encouraged children with learning disabilities and these are now playing keyboards confidently and been given an opportunity to shine.
