As a teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching students and degree in Creative arts: Art and Music. I offer lessons primarily on the Guitar and Violin but also teach Bass Guitar, Ukulele and Viola to students of all ages. My Instrumental teaching covers most modern styles of Pop, Rock and Jazz. I also offer tuition in the Classical style for the Guitar, Violin and Viola.

I currently arrange music for and run Guitar ensembles in two of my Secondary schools and find it very rewarding.

I teach as a Guitar tutor for the Bath Rock Project enabling children and young adults to gain experience playing/performing in bands and develop their proficiency on their chosen instrument.

What I / we help young people achieve

I have a 100% pass rate for music exams and offer a wide range of accredited exam syllabus's as the basis of my teaching depending upon the goals of my students including Registry of Guitar, Rockschool, Trinity and ABRSM.

I also work hard with the Music teachers within my schools to support students preparing for GCSE, BTEC and A-level performances and working on compositions.

I have a high retention rate, and am lucky enough to have parents and teachers thanks me for my efforts to inspire and support the children in their communities.

My Training & Development

I am constantly improving my knowledge and proficiency on my instruments, and looking for new teaching methods and ideas.

As a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors, I attend national conferences that they organise to take advantage of the workshops and network to share/discuss best practice with other Guitar teachers. I also attend ISM Seminars/Webinars that may help me to develop as a teacher/musician.
