I love music and love helping others love it too! I have been playing the guitar for around 26 years and, prior to that, the piano (among other things).
I worked for the Wiltshire Music Service for 8 years mainly teaching guitar but also delivering Ukulele lessons under the Wider Opportunities scheme. I have also taught in Kingdown School, Warminster, where I taught guitar as well as providing support in the classroom generally and GCSE composition specifically.
I am also a tutor with the South West Music School. I teach bass, electric, acoustic and classical guitar and a variety of styles (jazz, blues, rock and classical). In addition to this I lead regular music workshops for young people (7yrs-18yrs) in a Wiltshire Village.
What I / we help young people achieve
I have helped children prepare for exams in both Classical (Trinity and ABRSM) and Rock guitar grades (Trinity, RGT, Rockschool).
Together we have achieved a 100% pass rate.
My music lessons have often helped pupils doing GCSE and A Level especially in terms of performance and composition disciplines. Some of my pupils have carried on into further education such as: the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM).
