The providers listed in our Directory have all confirmed to us that they have the following in place.

• DBS checks
• Public Liability Insurance
• Child Protection awareness training and to be able to refer to guidance on how this relates to their work

We check these when an Associate is interviewed. Associates are then required to confirm that these have been refreshed or renewed at appropriate points. We do not however, request to see the refreshed or renewed documentation.

We also require Associates to provide at least two referees to whom they can direct their clients if required. We do not automatically take up references and therefore do not hold stock references for our Associates.

If you decide to contact or hire them, you should always ask to see evidence of their DBS check and Insurance yourself, take up their references and ask questions about both the safety and quality aspects of their music related practice.

If you find content which you consider to be inappropriate, inaccurate, misleading or owned by others, please contact the individual or organisation in question email and copy us in to your correspondence at info@wiltshiremusicconnect.org.uk

What I / we help young people achieve

Some people learn music in order to learn a new skill, some for simple enjoyment, some to build confidence and some as an escape from difficult lives. Whatever your reason we can help. We have a 100% pass rate in exams at all grades with in excess of 60% gaining merit or distinction marks. If you prefer, quality tuition can still be delivered without the need for exams. We have worked with students from many different backgrounds, some with learning disabilities and with autism. Our staff have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to suit all needs.

“They energise my voice”W, year 2 St Katharines primary school when talking about his class music sessions.

“Inspiring”I, year 2 Preshute primary school about her choir sessions.

“I used to be afraid of standing in front of crowds, now I’m not afraid any more”M,  year 6 Preshute primary school.

“A.C.T.S have worked at St Katharine’s for a number of years during which time they have delivered whole class music, developed music for individuals for a range of instruments and singing, worked with and grown our school choir. They are instrumental in the development of many school wide productions involving both singing and drama.

A.C.T.S are an integral part of the ‘music offer’ at our small school and have played no small part in raising the profile of this area of the curriculum and the children’s enjoyment and engagement in it.” – Niki Jones, Head at St Katharine’s primary school.
