This event is part of our Wiltshire Primary Music Conference 2021

This workshop, facilitated by James Redwood, will explore a number of different approaches to creative composition in the classroom including song-writing, classroom percussion and other instrumental ensemble work. We will look at set-piece composition structures as well as more free-form approaches to building a piece together.

The session is aimed at teachers who have some experience of leading music in primary school settings and also welcomes anyone who attended the Foundation Level workshop on 16 March.

James Redwood is an award winning composer and music leader whose practice thrives on collaboration and partnership. Alongside creative delivery, James regularly leads CPD and training sessions for Spitalfields Music and a number of Music Hubs around the country.

Please note we are subsiding 100% of the cost of this event for Wiltshire Primary teachers. This means that it is free for you to attend, however, please note an unsubsidised place would cost £35 per person. If you book a place and subsequently find you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking or let us know so someone else can benefit.
