Sing into Spring!

This year’s theme is singing, and as well as practical workshops there will be latest news on funding, resources, and opportunities for your school and an opportunity to network with other schools. Workshops and sessions are appropriate for non-music specialist classroom teachers, as well as music teachers – no previous experience necessary, and the programme includes breakout options for musically trained teachers.

Opera is THIS MUCH FUN! This year we are delighted to welcome professional opera singers and musicians Lynsey Docherty, Anthony Flaum and Michael Waldron, who have been creating opera magic in Wiltshire Primary schools – click here to have a look what happened when they went to St Nicholas Primary near Salisbury.

Lynsey and her team will be running a practical workshop and informal presentation on “demystifying” opera and her approach to working in Wiltshire primary schools. Find out about the impact of opera across the curriculum, and how it can change perceptions…

Tom Floyd from the Royal Opera House will be sharing the ROH “Create And Sing” free resources and outlining their teacher training programme.

Note: Teachers attending this conference will have priority booking for a free Royal Opera House CPD training day to be held in Wiltshire during summer term.
