Lauren Aquilina plus Special Guests
Wiltshire Music Centre’s Young Curators
and BBC Introducing in the West
“Prepare yourself for a commanding folk-pop performance from this up-and-comer whose haunting soundscapes will fill any room” ELLE Magazine
At the tender age of 16, Lauren Aquilina wrote, recorded and self-released her debut EP Fools, which together with her follow-up EP Sinners went on to sell an incredible 70,000 copies. She then headlined the BBC Introducing Stage at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, and was invited by pop superstar Taylor Swift to support her at Hyde Park.
Landing one of the biggest syncs of the year in 2015 (Downton Abbey finale TV advert), Lauren’s single propelled into the iTunes top 10. She’s racked up nearly 8 million streams online and is currently writing music for two Hollywood movies. Her music is emotive and heartbreaking, with songwriting skills way ahead of her years.
This special show, presented by Wiltshire Music Centre’s Young Curators, will also showcase other exciting emerging acts. Also available – Masterclass sessions in the afternoon before this gig.
