Amesbury Music Cluster CPD session – the Model Music Curriculum
A 45 minute CPD session, “Getting to grips with the new Model Music Curriculum” led by Steph Farr.
A chance to unpick the messages from the Model Music Curriculum (MMC) and discuss how this non-statutory document could be used to develop the teaching of music in your school.
Participants will take away:
– key messages from the MMC and the implications it might have for school music teaching
– an understanding of how the MMC sets out a sequence of learning in key areas which could be used as a practical framework to meet statutory national curriculum requirements.
– considered benefits, opportunities and barriers of the MMC
