Quality

Quality will ‘look’ (and sound) different depending on the setting and context of the work and indeed the style or genre in which its happening.

It will not therefore be appropriate to judge all things by the same measures. We need to recognise differing balances of quality of experience and musical excellence depending on the nature and purpose of an activity.  Our evaluation framework will help with this.

This may include:

  • Quality of relationship, experience, process and / or teaching
  • Of music created
  • Of Performance
  • Of learning and exploration
  • The impact of the above on children and young people and / or those who teach / support them.

We will ‘assess’ quality through the recruitment of Associates and partners, applications / bids for funding and support and the realistic evaluation of the work we provide ourselves and support others to do.
