Singing Leader Development Opportunity
In partnership with Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival, we’re offering a unique professional development opportunity for two for Singing Leaders – either advanced students and / or practicing leaders or teachers.
- Centred around the Festival’s ‘Market Songs’ project (rehearsals running from early March 2015 leading to a performance on 22 May), there’s a great opportunity to work alongside and learn in situ from music director Howard Moody and composer Michael Betteridge, developing skills in conducting, leading rehearsals and preparing for a large-scale performance.
- Alongside and beyond that, Wiltshire Music Connect can offer a potential mix of CPD, mentoring and support according to the individuals’ needs.
What we ask in return is that the Singing Leaders, with support from Wiltshire Music Connect:
- Reflect on the experience and what they learn / gain from it
- Use the skills and perspective they gain from the experience in other activities for children young people within the county
- Share elements of their learning with others within the county through CPD / networking or support
Interested? If you’re a music leader / tutor / teacher and think that you might benefit from this opportunity then please contact Kate Courage for more information and details of how to apply – the deadline for applications will be 12 noon on Friday 30th January and interviews around 5th or 6th February in Salisbury.
